The freebie will cost you relatively little when you offer these freebies in the most lucrative way. So, what is the most profitable way to offer freebies on behalf of your business?

Give people an incentive to purchase from you rather than Joe Blogs in a better location than you. This incentive must be something worthwhile. For example, a mini free piece of brittle biscuit with any hot drink purchase isn’t going to drawer in the masses. Everywhere does it already; it’s nothing new, however a larger goal such as a free meal after spending X amount would make the extra time and effort well worth it and the outlay is relatively minimal.

Now here comes the nifty part. In order for your customers to qualify, get them to fill out their details for a ‘loyalty card’. This is fantastic and cheap market research as well as enabling you to further advertise special offers and make your business prominent. The easiest way to do this is to take an e-mail address and send out marketing to your followers’ en mass.

Freebies on the web are a very effective way of drawing people to your business’ page. If you advertise these freebies on a variety of high hit sites such as Facebook, you’ll see the hits to your own site increase and naturally an increase in sales will follow. Again, you can ask for the consumer’s details in order to qualify for the freebie, and in addition, offer further bonuses for recommended friends.

Alternatively, you can offer one big freebie such as a spa weekend or a Wii as part of a prize drawer. This often incites a lot of interest and you can generate marketing for free off the back of it. Sometimes, these singular purchases of a large freebie can be just as effective as the smaller ones as a free download of a chart top 10, (whilst sought after) just doesn’t compare.

These are just some of the ways in which freebies can help incentivise your business and ensure that yours stands out above and over the rest.
